Client type: Commercial property manager · Site type: Multi-level urban parkade · Scope: Emergency call-station supply, installation and configuration

The problem

Parkades combine concrete construction, limited sightlines, isolated users and inconsistent cellular coverage. If someone needs assistance between a parked vehicle and a distant exit, the property needs an obvious way to request help and a response procedure that does not depend on the person finding a signal.

The approach

Northeastern installed and configured emergency call stations at selected points throughout the structure. Each station creates a visible help point and supports a defined live response. Placement must consider pedestrian routes, elevator lobbies, stair access, visibility, accessibility, wiring and how the call is handled.

What property managers should decide first

  • Who receives the call and what information can they see?
  • When should a guard, mobile officer, building representative or emergency service be dispatched?
  • How will the stations be tested and documented?
  • Where do cameras, lighting, signage and patrols close gaps around the help points?

Call stations are not a complete parkade-security plan on their own. They work best with video surveillance, reliable lighting, clear response procedures and mobile patrol coverage at the hours that matter.
